Chicama Country Spa, situated in the newly declared World Heritage Site - "Cradle of Humankind" only 30 minutes from both Johannesburg and Pretoria. Gautengers will be delighted to know that they too can now benefit from the healing properties of natural fynbos, herbal extracts and grapes from the Cape Vineyards. The goodness of the Cape is now available in the Cradle of Humankind at Chicama Country Spa, based at Glenburn Lodge in Muldersdrift, in the form of Theravine Spa products and treatments.

TheraVINE, called "the next generation of vine-derived cosmetics" by Les Nouvelles Esthetique Magazine, draws primarily on extracts of Pinotage, infused with organic Cape botanicals. Reputed for its nutritional supplement use, the anti-oxidant properties of 'vino therapy' in skin and beauty cosmetics have been pioneered in South Africa by Lisa Smit in Stellenbosch.

The stylish Chicama Country Spa has chosen the romance of the vineyard as its theme. It is decorated in soothing neutrals, with deep burgundy brought out in Persian rugs and subtle décor touches. Treatment rooms have been named after wines, such as Merlot, Shiraz, Pinotage and Chardonnay. A partnership with Zorgvliet Winery in Banhoek ensures that Spa lunches are complemented by the finest of Cape wines.

Spa facilities include a total of ten treatment rooms of which two have private hydrotherapy baths, three have private gardens and the couples' treatment room boasts with a romantic, private Jacuzzi. A heated pool and countryside patio completes the ultimate venue for relaxation.

Stressed executives can now brainstorm and strategize in the Spa with our Conference Wellness package which includes a half day conference within the Spa, followed by an afternoon of stress-busting Spa treatments
