GOLF AND LEISURE

It is seldom that one has so many options for playing, relaxing and entertainment in one venue. During a recent visit Graham Cooke, President and Founder of The World Travel Awards, did in fact recommend that one should refer to the Fairway Hotel as a resort, due to its excellent facilities.
Entertaining options at The Fairway are aplenty, but Balata Restaurant deserves the first mention. Offering a variety of seating arrangements, vibrant décor colours and modern fireplaces, the restaurant is already famous for its outstanding breakfasts. Light business lunches are popular, but Balata will certainly become known for its exquisite fine dining under the leadership of Chef Jean-Pierre Siegenthaler

Bar Verve with its trendy ambience is perfect for a first date, a quick get together or just for unwinding after work. A secluded wine cellar hides behind Bar Verve and provides a sophisticated private venue for executives to have a drink after a long day of conferencing.
The Roundabout Bar has wonderful views over the golf course and is popular with the golfing fraternity who need to recuperate after a strenuous round of golf, or that drink on the way back home after a long day at the office.
The Vista Deck boasts spectacular views over the golf course and lends itself to the ideal opportunity to indulge in that much needed drink after a long day’s brainstorming. The Vista deck provides a sophisticated and stylish venue for cocktail parties or an intimate evening braai and incredible sunsets.
The Fairway Spa is situated to the left of the hotel entrance, nestled between the golf club and the hotel rooms. Soothing hues of blue and reflections of water and light greet spa guests as they enter the airy double volume lobby en-route to the relaxation lounge or their chosen treatment room. A sun deck, Café style Bistro and private gardens make this a wonderful destination for relaxation. With eleven treatment rooms, the spa is spacious enough to accommodate small pamper party groups, for leisure or business purposes. A dedicated hair salon and nail bar in Fairway Spa makes it possible to have tip-to-toe treatments at one destination.

Sharing a private game reserve with the adjacent Kloofzicht Lodge, Glenburn Lodge has hiking routes for those who merely want a relaxing stroll, or fitness enthusiasts who are ready for conquering the Zwartkop Mountain. Bird watching and fishing are welcome past times all within the beautiful natural surroundings.
Lairds Bar and the adjacent pool room provides either pre- or post dinner relaxation.  The drop down screen is ideal for sport enthusiasts wanting to stay up to date with the latest score.
With excellent teambuilding facilities in a scenic mountain and river surrounding in Muldersdrift, Glenburn Lodge is the obvious choice for outdoor teambuilding events, such as treasure hunts and survivor games. The universal sport field is popular with rugby, soccer, hockey and school teams  for training and match purposes. School teams often combine their training camps with affordable accommodation in Bush Willow Tented Camp, at the foot of the mountain.  An outdoor obstacle course (Trimgim) is set next to the sports field, and is very popular for boot camps and cross training. Those not afraid of heights will enjoy The Dream team tight rope and climbing wall next to the chalets, used under the guidance of The Dream Team or a professional teambuilding organisation. Your teambuilding company or event organiser will be overjoyed with the space and options available at Glenburn Lodge.
